Trinity-Clifton United Church and St. Paul’s Anglican Church are teaming up to host a spring book club!
The book we’ll be discussing is The Skin We’re In: A Year of Black Resistance and Power by Canadian journalist and author, Desmond Cole.
Copies are available to borrow from the Trinity and St. Paul’s offices, on loan from the Charlottetown Public Library.
From Penguin Random House:
“Chronicling just one year in the struggle against racism in this country, The Skin We’re In reveals in stark detail the injustices faced by Black Canadians on a daily basis: the devastating effects of racist policing, the hopelessness produced by an education system that fails Black children, the heartbreak of those separated from their families by discriminatory immigration laws, and more.”
Join us for an educational and informative discussion on anti-Black racism in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Location: Trinity United Church
Date: Wednesday, April 26th
Time: 7 pm
Refreshments will be served. See you there!
